Our present buyer's frenzy bubble is certainly wound tight as a snare drum but no one (including us) is willing to really give a hard opinion as to when it might ease up. The good news is that fogging a mirror is no longer the main criteria for getting a loan. That means most of the newly-minted home owners are much better qualified to keep their homes in the event of a downturn. They put down real money and actually have some skin in the game. This might help insure that the inevitable downturn will just be a bunny slope and not that black diamond cliff drop we just suffered through. (June 2013)
