We've always had hipsters, though we didn't always call them that. We've always had gentrification but it also went by other monikers. The hipster gentrification that is occurring now in Highland Park is the latest chapter in Northeast LA's transformation from this to that. "Yorklandia" isn't just a pretty word to say, it's a fascinating growing pain worth keeping our eye on.
